It shouldn't come as a surprise that Yangon has announced it will soon release Noble Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi after nearly 15 years of house arrest. This comes less than one week after Burma's flawed election -- in which Suu Kyi and most other opposition candidates were not allowed to participate -- erected a civilian facade to its military leadership.
